Created in 2016 on the occasion of the Cannes International Film Festival, Positive Cinema Week, placed under the auspices of the Cannes Film Festival, consecrates a cinema that changes our view of the world, raises awareness, questions its industry and puts its art at the service of future generations. Positive cinema brings people together, shakes up the world, influences our ways of thinking and behaving and invites citizens from all over the world to get involved.
3 days of activities during the Cannes Film Festival 2022:
- From conferences on the beach of the CNC with personalities and professionals of the cinema
- Best Positive Film Award to a film in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival.
- From screenings of our selection of positive films, free and open to all, in the open air and in partnership with the City of Cannes
From masterclass for the general public, in partnership with FNAC, and for professionals, for film students, in partnership with Campus Georges Méliès
OBJECTIVES :
- Participating in change for a fairer and more inclusive society
- To promote positive cinema, beyond Cannes, in Paris and all year round
- Making cinema part of the DNA of the Cannes Festival and offering a platform to committed artists
- Enable access to culture for all, especially the youngest, the most excluded and all territories
