Come to the 1st edition of the Water Festival in Lyon on 1, 2 and 3 July 2022 and propose your project!
With a unique identity that has seen it born and developed at the confluence of two majestic rivers, the City of Lyon has decided, at the instigation of the new executive, to create a major annual event around the Rhône and the Saône. This festival will take place every first weekend of July, and is intended to be popular, family-oriented and ecological.
The aim of this festival is to reconnect with Lyon's river past, to reconnect the people of Lyon to its waterways, both physically and symbolically, with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers hanging over this precious and vital resource.
This festival is therefore aimed at the whole population and is structured around 3 main themes: Celebrate, Protect and Discover.
For this first edition, the "Water Festival" will take place on 1, 2 and 3 July 2022.
This call for projects aims to complete the City of Lyon's programming by proposing events:
- All disciplines can be represented: sports, cultural, artistic, leisure, gastronomic, etc.
- In the open air, in the public space.
- Free of charge.
- Accessible to all audiences.
Projects with a link to the heritage of the Rhône, the Saône, the Confluence or the aquatic element will be favoured.
Project leaders can apply for financial, logistical and communication support.
