Jean-Marc Jancovici has been professionally active in the fields of climate change andenergy since the late 1990s.
Engineer from École Polytechnique, consultant (in energy and climate), teacher. With Alain Grandjean, he co-founded Carbone 4, an independent consulting firm specialising in low-carbon strategy and adaptation to climate change.
Mr. Jancovici is known for his awareness-raising and popularisation conferences on the themes of global warming and energy, and has enjoyed increasing notoriety since the 2010s. Since 2018, he has been a member of the High Council for the Climate under the Prime Minister.
He is president and co-founder of The Shift ProjectHe is the president and co-founder of The Shift Project, a French association aimed at accelerating the energy transition. He also collaborated in the elaboration of the Ecological Pact of the Nicolas Hulot Foundation.
