Researcher in geopolitics and foresight, author of "Les Futurs du Monde speaker and stubborn humanist
Virginie RAISSON-VICTOR is co-founder and spokesperson of the The Great Business Challenge for the Planet with Jérôme Cohen created in 2021. This initiative aims to contribute to improving the coherence, efficiency and impact of corporate action in favour of the climate. The same year, she joined the Guerlain sustainable board and became president of the CETIH mission committee.
She is the director of LÉPAC, a private and independent laboratory for geopolitical and prospective studies which she co-founded in 1992 with Jean-Christophe VICTOR and on which the programme "Dessous des Cartes" (Arte) was based for 26 years.
In addition to the work she regularly publishes in journals and collective works, Virginie Raisson-Victor is the co-author of the first two Dessous des Cartes atlases and, above all, the author of two reference works in the field of foresight: "2033, Atlas des Futurs du Monde" (Nov 2010) and "2038, les Futurs du Monde" (Nov 2016), translated into 5 languages and sold in more than 40,000 copies.
A university graduate in History, International Relations and Geopolitics, Virginie Raisson-Victor is also a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars for diplomats, managers of international groups, administrators of local authorities, etc. She is also a member of the APM experts.
She has worked for international organisations in crisis and conflict areas for many years. For nine years, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Médecins Sans Frontières, in France and then in the United States. With thirty years of geopolitical, prospective and societal expertise, she now assists companies in the transition.
She is the author of two reference works on foresight (Les Futurs du Monde) and has been President of the Pays-de-la-Loire IPCC since October 2020.
Finally, she is a mother of three young children and co-founder of a bilingual Montessori school.
